Not a big fan of the Gerber line and no offense to Bear Grylls line up...sold by Walmart and Academy here...just some of their items are junk, but like Jontte stated, give Roninsensei a PM, he will answer your questions.

There's a reason its that cheap my friend...

Part of the reason, I only trust Roninsensei's opinion on knives. I won't be buying junk anymore, better to sink my money into one reliable one, rather than a whole bunch that I will be throwing away...better to pay now, than later.

He has placed a ton of knife posts, go pull up his stuff, its very interesting and like I said, he's the first I'd ask before laying out big $$ on them. No different that I would be asking Alabaster, DrHenley and Vernon for recommendation on handguns and rifles. I am sure their are many restrictions on guns/rifles in Portugal. If Texas were its own country...we would possibly would have the highest ratio of guns to citizens in the world.

Well the ex husband of my godmother had a gun for hunting but i think.you have to lay down allot of money, or you dont eveb reach to that phase, plus the only weapons shop i know is overpricing for weapons of unknown brands, so allot of people resort to the "dark" side if you know what i mean

Gotcha on that dark side. I stay within the laws here. I am only speaking for Texas, each state is a bit different in their gun laws. It is very simple, don't break any laws and not be convicted of a felon, pass the background check. From there if your interested in concealed weapons, you need to take a safety course and pay a nominal fee for having the license. When it comes to semi-auto, shotguns, etc...to own one, you just fill out the paper work, provided no history that prevents you from owning it, your walking out the door within 15-20 minutes of purchase. Automatics are different, but very few American's are owners of these types. You deal with FFL-3 licensed dealers to make that happen with a federal background check.

I wish that was that easy, there are still people who have guns so thats a worry if you only have a katana or brass knuckles,so thats why i train my body to the fullest, but my plans are not to stay in Portugal so yeah im only 16 so i will have to do a lot of thinking but i think firearms are outta range in here so i gotta work with what i have :)

Well when you mention working with your body...then you might want to pick Roninsensei's ideas. He has extensive experience in martial arts...sure he can tell you more...just give him a shout.

Goodness gracious. I was just thinking of how many people I know that have been using Gerber BG knives & tools for the last couple years and use them regularly without complaint...
.
Then I saw that post of pics from Ronin... I'd love to hear the stories behind those breaks.

Wife likes the "Bear"...she bought one for me for XMas, I gave it to the son. We went out camping and were using it to cut some paracord, the plastic hilt came off. I told her to stick to her watching his shows, but to spend it on the things on my wish list...this year she played it safe and bought S&W rounds for me, a nice little flashlight which is now with her EDC, and some other related stuff...simple guy to buy for at XMas.
