Well I just found the time to put in my fall food plots for deer season, we planted all with plot spike and purple top turnips with brassica, filled all the feeders and put out more salt. Now we need some rain and cooler weather to hunt in.

Clover, rape and hard red winter wheat in ours. The deer keep it cropped so well they should go into the lawn care business, LOL.

I don't put in any food plots for the deer and elk, but I do put mineral blocks out every half mile or so. Plus we have the only water in the area.
Sound like you got it good, I have a few small farms near me that plant food plots so I have to too have a chance at pulling the does in when they put pressure on them at the farms around , I just wait for the big boys to follow the girls over to my place. Lol
I just yell and tell the deer to get off my lawn. I don't want them getting comfortable here.

I put out salt and mineral blocks as well as corn. No, don’t hunt them, but I do enjoy watching them. Of course if hard times come, they will come to our land as they view it as safe...

I don't hunt on my place either. I raise cattle and prefer beef over deer and elk any day. But if times got hard, and I lost all my cattle, then I'd shoot what I needed.
