had a FB account when I first came online, deleted it about a couple of years later got bored with it, must be at least 5 years ago, havent touched it since.

Just out of curiosity, I set up a FB account 10 years ago. I used it once, but I still get ‘friend requests’ from complete strangers. Bizarre.

I have one, but I'm a member of a few prepper groups on there, and follow some good friends and family members, only. I don't really use it to trade news or any political research like that kind of stuff. Its okay, I think, for what I use it for, really.

I have one but not in my own name, primarily because the only way I can book a slot at the localgun club is via FB messenger, But I have also added the ADD ON for Firefox that prevents FB from tracking me.

It is all about why you have one and what you use it for. I am not a big political person, so I am not interested in all of the political b.s. that goes or went on there. For me, it is about connecting with family and friends, neighbors, and as well as belonging to groups of my interest. If I am not interested in baloney, I will not sign up for baloney. If I am interested in homesteading, I will join homesteading groups. If people offend me, I delete them. I do that in real life. Like all things in life, we have choices and can follow those. I am very interested in family history and genealogy. Last night, for at least the fifth time, I connected with a relative via one of the genealogy groups. Works for me and I know that it does not work for all.

I never set up an account but kind of look at it like any other tool. There could be good and bad uses for it. As far as privacy, or lack thereof, google, amazon and Facebook all-ready know more about you than you do. If it works for you then I’m all for it. If you don’t like it then simply don’t go on it. Easy enough.

RT reporting lots of right wing conservatives have had their twitter accounts closed in another wave of soviet style censorship. The US is aready moving towards a one party socialist state. If there ever was a time to invest HEAVILY in prepping it is NOW. Food, Fuel, Ammo, Potable Water, PDW gear. Change your travel habits, start avoiding cities and government agencies, home school your kids.
FB is how we keep up with grandkid’s sports and other family, but is there any better app ? It is so full of worthless silver and clothing and other clutter

Absolutely, 100% i am already there.
My family uses Telegram to keep up with the Kids activities and such. We text and do Zoom calls too. Zero problems on Telegram. Closed my FB account years ago. I didn’t leave because of advertisements, but because they censor anything that is Patriot or Christian or Trump. Plus Zuckerberg is one evil person. I refuse to endorse him in any shape or fashion.
I am on Telegram, to see news stuff. I enjoy the ease of seeing Jack Posobiec and others.
You have yo have a personal account to have a business account. If your business isn't on Facebook and Google maps, you lose a lot of business. I just didn't put anything on there.
I love telegram, but I am only on there for following groups. I keep up with friends through texting and calling. My friends are all busy folks, anyway, so they're not big on social media. I actually spend the majority of my social time on this forum now!
