Got something on my car welded once. Everything reset - clock, computer codes, etc. It was great because I wanted those codes cleared forever. It was an old car, proprietary computer connection, real pain.
Maybe give your frame a little electronic jolt like with a welder and see what breaks or doesn't break. Or look at your manufacturer's recommendations for what to do before welding anything. Whatever they say to disconnect is a good thing to have a backup of.
