I don't invite the snake into my house simply because it is cold outside. The point of the article is that the Cuban government could and would order these doctors to do the Cuban government's bidding. The difference in the American Doctors doing big pharma work, it the big pharma can't have the doctor shot.

UP is 100% right. Everyone has their own priorities. You could just as easily make the point that a Christian doctor would be concerned for the patient's soul and that would take away from the 'treatment'. Or a male doctor will be biased against female patience. Or an old doctor biased against youth. Or a married (heterosexual) doctor against a gay patient.

Come on Kevin. Doctors-for-hire from a communist country are far more dangerous. Heck, how do you know that the Cuban doctors aren't also sold out to big pharma?

I only know from my experience, and I've worked with physicians from any number of countries during disasters and such when I was a flight medic and when I was with the Red Cross.

I can tell--most of the time--when a doctor has a hidden agenda, or if he or she is rendering substandard care.

I still stand by my statements.

If I have been injured or suffering from a major illness, I don't care where the doctor comes from if they can help me. If the injury or illness is bad enough, I don't care if it is an "old time" folk doctor, as long as they can help me.

If the doctor also has a political agenda, I DON"T CARE, as long as he can help me or my family.

as I have been working at that hospital for some time now,I've noticed some sort of "lack of confidence" among many doctors,many jr's are unable
to decide and in a bad spot,that will end in casualties, it's not one or two times they ask my co-worker or me what to do, or even worse ask me ( around 3 yrs of experience ).
that's why my anxiety level goes up when you read in the news ; some nasty dicease is running wild...don't wanna be in that situation,where you know
the doc there is clearly going to drop the ball any minute now..thx to many of my co-workers,I've learn't already alot but there's so much still to learn

In an emergency you accept what you have to accept. We did not need to accept the Cuban doctors, so we did the smart thing and kept them out. Just remember even a doctor gets personal time to spread their doctrine. Commie stay home works very well for me. Now if we can get rid of the socialist, I would be even happier.
