Does anyone else see an economic crash coming?

The Stock market and housing are still going up like everything is great out there. Why do I feel like I’m the only one that sees the cliff the economy is about to go over?

Econmically I see no way around a crash. The Zillion dollar question is, who will be in charge when it happens? Let’s be realistic here. If a socialist Dem is in charge, there is no doubt Venezuela is our future. Those in charge still eating and safe. Everyone else are going to suffer greatly. If the right Republican is in charge we will have big problems like the Great Depression, but WILL pull out of it in 10-15 years. I would certainly like to see Trump in charge as he honestly CARES about America and Americans! Even now with MILLIONS unemployed and millions not able to pay their bills, the Dems are DEMANDING free stuff and JOBS for illegals!!! Not only that, they are DEMANDING more 3rd worlders be a brought in to TAKE our JOBS!

This coming election is a vote FOR survival...or a vote to go down into extreme poverty.

PS. I don’t see a way for anyone to store enough food for 15 years. I could be wrong. Everyone needs to make sure they have enough land, seeds, decent soil and equipment to grow and raise your own food to survive. JMHO

Yes I believe that we'll see a serious economic downturn someday. How serious it will be depends upon who wins in 2020. I don't think there will be a "collaspe" anytime soon though. One thing that democrats have promised is if elected they will nationalize our 401k and IRA accounts.
Until there's a downturn I am taking advantage of the stock markets.

we are 100% heading for a crash. history agrees that has been result of debasing currency. the fed is buying all of the govt.debt. but it is very drawn out this time. we can only wait and see but there is no return to normal that's for sure

Anything is possible, but one of this countries strong points is that it can absorb some nasty blows. That doesn’t mean we will not fall on hard times, but the odds of recovering are very much in our favor.

I'm seeing the same over here. Thankfully Labour (our dems) were soundly defeated in the election last year, so we have a conservative government to steer the country through it.
My grandparents went through the depression and they reguarly said the thing that kept the family going was their garden. So all I can say is, keep gardening folks, it's something we can have direct control over that can make a difference to our wellbeing.

I don't see any economic crash coming. Personally I think the world needs one for a reset on how things are done, but the powers that be have ways of rigging the system to prevent a big crash and they will just kick the can down the road.

I think you are putting too much confidence and competence in the powers that be.

If you look throughout history there have been ups and downs in all economies. Even after a crash there is no doubt it will rise again. My only concern is I likely have 10 to 15 years left in life. (No one has a crystal ball but I’m going on averages here). I would like to spend them in comfort over having to scrape by each day. I have scraped by at times in my life and know I am capable, I just would rather not.

just push aside the efforts of the DNC efforts to tamp down and destroy the recovery >>> everything is BETTER than can EVER be expected after a purposeful nationwide shut down - this is all new ground and it's still being explored ....

most of you are buying into the BS crap the DNC is pulling along with the Soros $$$$ and the BLM & ANTIFA co-conspiracy >>>> taking down statues have absolutely nothing to do with the economy ....

I guess my first question is what do you consider an economic crash? There have been downturns. There always are; 2008, and the Dot Com bubble burst in the 90's were the most recent. They were painful; more for some than for others, but we survived them. It certainly was not the end of the world as we know it. We have just been through a period of almost unprecedented economic recovery, so things (the Stock Market) would likely slow down.

I am not trying to be argumentative, but for those who believe there will be a crash what economic indicators are you watching that influence your opinion? I look at housing starts, and the housing industry. That seems to be a good indicator or where things are going. What are you seeing that make you think there will be a crash?

I think a lot depends on the election. Depending on the outcome, things could be very good, or very bad.

Something coming our way and nobody is going to like it, be it what it is things are going to be vastly different. Look at what all has changed during the Great Depression/Dust Bowl (socialism was institutionalized)

1930~36 Dust Bowl created the largest migration in US history
1933 Gold coins gold bullion, and gold certificates illegal to hoard
1933 The National Recovery Administration
1934 National Firearm Act
1935 Social Security
1935 Welfare

Whats coming will make the 30s look like a cake walk, and it will hurt. One can hoard the Dollar, fiat currency or promissory note or what ever you want to call it but remember, the dollar is a political currency, gold/silver isn't, keep your finances diversified ;)

As someone who is in the process of starting a small business I believe that we should limit our reliance on major corporations in favor of the local business who are all to often unnoticed because of the monopolies that are held by the major corporations. Small businesses built our great nation and I believe that with proper support small businesses could save our great nation.

I believe the enormous debt is the straw that will break the camels back here. Right now things are looking good because the govt is keeping everything afloat with buying bonds, passing out unemployment at alarming rates, loaning money to businesses, etc. the problem is we were over twenty trillion in debt before this happened. We are adding at least another three trillion to this and they are talking about even more in a second wave of stimulus. The fact of the matter is both political parties have been kicking the can down the road for way too long. All they do is blame the other party but neither one has done anything to address the runaway debt. I don’t think the world will stop turning by any means. People will still need to eat, get goods to survive and will still want some kind of entertainment. I just truly believe we have been at the top of our economic cycle and are going into a downward slide soon. I’m still in amazed shock that the markets are doing so well. Hey, I hope I’m wrong here. One thing I’ve learned with prepping for most of my life is it’s never a bad thing to be prepared though.
