A True Doomsday Prepper
Anyone need a coon skin cap? Muahahahahahahaha
Makes sense, because they can only get caught by the front foot. The only reason I called it that is because she said the coon was sticking his hand into the side of the trap to get to the bait.
Dog proof (DP) traps have been out for a number of years now. Its impossible to catch a dog in one.Never heard of or seen a hand trap, learned something new.
We built our rabbit boxes & shot everything else, Father did not like steel traps, because they were not dog proof.
You do what you gotta do sometimes. As long as it works.Since I've been putting out urine, he isn't even showing on camera
Deer X is great for snakes. They wind themselves in it and cant get out. I have caught a lot in it.When I move, which will be later than I had hoped, I am thinking of using screen wire on the chicken coop, to keep snakes out.
This may help with rodents & Marsupial too.
I have redwood lumber around all of my decks, and backfilled with 3/4 minus. We have about 75' of redwood deck around the house.I was pulling rotted out plastic fencing out from under the deck. If I do something, it’s gonna be good for 20yrs at least.
I did not know that, learn something every day.Deer X is great for snakes. They wind themselves in it and cant get out. I have caught a lot in it.
I know it well, the shops I have worked in called it expanded metal, because of the way it is made.I used this steel lath around my bottom of my deck.

Put a Redwood railing on the one side I needed a railing. Didn’t stain it cause it was so nice Looking.
Small enough to keep out snakes, strong enough to keep out coons. Back filled, wired at joints.I know it well, the shops I have worked in called it expanded metal, because of the way it is made.
Anything that can tear through that can have my chickens.
