I post for discussion not because i believe it would be the solution but it seems people like to respond with personal attacks.
No personal attack intended. I was mearly pointing out that there are already countries around the world that have a system in place for the "solution" that you mention; communism. The communist system kills any incentive for a person to strive for success. It destroys ingunuity, creativity and inventiveness. No thanks. For all its "problems" the capitalist system in still best system by far.

I agree competition breeds innovation and creativity but there are negative aspects to the systems we use in the West too. One of the main problems is greed and how sustainable it is. With regards to the original post, the taxing of successful people obviously isn't the solution. Western governments do collect enough tax revenue, in fact they collect way more than they need to provide quality services. The problem is too many bureaucrats, corruption, waste and money spent on none essential services, for example in Europe the tax payer would pay for things like gender reassignment while not having enough funds to provide quality basic medical services. One other issue I have is with state aid and subsidies for companies. While these may create jobs for people it creates an unnatural marketplace.

So you don't need to reinvent the wheel, you need to fix the broken spokes, and smack the buggers (government) who keeps sticking sticks in it

The greed still exists in communism and socialism. , it's just limited to the ruling elites.
