Hi. I'm a middle aged mom in the US. I'm a survivor of late stage cancer. Currently in remission, but most doctors expect it to return at some point. I'm a strong Christian, so I'm less concerned about where I'll be going if it returns and I don't make it. However, I am trying to prepare as much as possible for my young kids and husband.
I'm the scrappy one in our marriage. I grew up poor in a semi-prepper family, so I learned a lot about how to get by. (That's not to say I don't have a lot to learn.) My husband is definitely on board with my way of thinking, but there are some skills and character traits that just take a long time to learn and I've been at this a lot longer. I worry about him if I'm gone.
I'm looking for ideas on connecting with local like minded folks, any tips on prioritizing my preps, and just advice in general.
