we've been lucky so far.mom dont go any where, where she's liable to get a tick, seeing how there's no ticks in the yard area.but,as for as i go.only 1 or 2 since i've moved in here,in 2007..and my dogs have never gotton any ticks.in which they go,right near everywhere i do,out here.

we had a light winter here in Arkansas, and the ticks are very bad this year,I live in the middle of a cedar glade for those of you who don't know what that means I live in TICK HELL,,,a walk thru these woods and you are cover by them not a few I am talking hundreds and these things are small you can't hardly see them,I have pulled at least 40 off myself this year and washed a countless number down the drain in my shower,,,,,and the dogs have to be treated for ticks,I find it odd that some dogs get many and some only get a few and they all roam these woods,,,,,,,,,,I HATE TICKS

we have them in this area, mainly on sheep but deer get them too.
dogs should be checked after every walk.
people are probably okay if they aren't wearing shorts or flimsy clothing.
