Warm greetings from Russia) I will be glad to meet with like-minded people!
Even if our views are somewhat different (I am sure that we have a lot in common), I am ready to discuss any topics of interest.

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. :USA: Looking forward to your insights.

Howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right oninwithany replies you have on a topic.

Howdy from Georgia USA!

Tuman, you will find that we do not all have the same views on a lot of things, even on some prepping issues.

As someone once said "If we both agreed on everything, one of us would be unnecessary"

Welcome. I don’t care for our governments pissing contests much either.
I am curious about your ability to own firearms there. Can you purchase and own self defense weapons or hunting ones?
In Russia, with a weapon more or less a good situation. Better than in some countries :) Anyone passing medical examination and verification by the police, can buy smoothbore guns (12 gauge, etc.), after 5 years of ownership of smooth-bore weapons, you can get a license to own a rifled gun.
Now they want to pass a law that would allow owning a rifled gun after 3 years. I believe that this is a rare idiocy, this delay does not help prevent crime. But in the end we have what we have) in my arsenal of semi-automatic weapons (automatic banned for civilian).

SAIGA-9 mod.02
SAIGA-12 Tactics
Now I’m waiting for the opportunity to buy a Steyr SSG 08, a very good rifle.
as for skills ... I'm an army sniper and shooting instructor, I guess I can do something :)))

Remind not to irritate you. LOL

Welcome Tuman!... I think you would be surprised at how much our two peoples (not governments) have in common.

Heck, if you surveyed the people in our country you would find the vast majority have no love for our Federal government.

I don't think I would want to be around Moscow though with everything going on with Ukraine right now.
They don't have urban sprawl over there like we have in the US. Many people in Russia have small homes out in the country, usually along rivers, where they spend summers growing gardens and selling the produce.

Let's wait a few more months to see which way the U.S. and Europe will go, depending on which is a good Plan B if our politicians here drive everything to the wall, and in Europe is on the best way to drive everything to the wall.

If Joe is elected again in the USA, the best alternative will probably be a top bunker or the flight to another country, the damage by Joe`s possible re-election could be irreparable.

I downloaded babbel on my phone last night and made it through the first 10 lessons. Now my problem is that I run windows 7 and cannot download the russian keyboard language because support has ende for 7. I want to order a dual language keyboard off amazon (saw one with both alphabets) but if I cannot get the language installed, there is not much point in buying a new keyboard. i wonder if I can download it on a win10 machine and copy it over to 7. For now, I will only be able to practice on my phone.
