Anyone here with a camper/RV? I've got a 12 foot popup. Tows easy behind my SUV. Self contained. Great for a BOV.

I am thinking about getting a set up like this. I ran up my credit cards to buy four top of the line sex dolls at Real Dolls dot com. I think it's best to have a travelling brothel than letting people come at my place. I can keep the girls in my truck like the red light district and after they pick, they can take their girl to the trailer. That way they can't try them all out. I don't want someone paying for one girl, then getting a free orgy, or sneaking in their friend. Thanks for bringing this up! I need to better think my plan/preps.

Not anymore, but I do have properly that's like a campground. I have room for lots of RVs and campers. Hey where will you be bugging out to? I'm on the other side of the Ponchatrain from you.

I have a 12’ R Pod that’s self contained. It pulls pretty easily and I have a good 4 wheel drive to pull it with. I don’t know if I would consider it for a bug out vehicle though. It kills the gas mileage by close to half, and it would draw too much attention during an evacuation as far as hey that guy must have supplies and resources. I really would like to have a piece of property to park it at for an emergency bug out place.
What do think the real reason that makes my group show up for prepper meetings?

I had a 35' RV once and we lived in a 30' RV for a year while we were building our house. I personally hate the damn things. I spent most of the winter trying to keep the pipes and sewer thawed out and shoveling the roof.
Years ago I had a small pop up tent trailer. I really liked it, but only for summer use.
I'll never own another RV again. I hate camping and my wife likes camping even less than I do.

I’ve had a few over the years too. Never lived in one though. But for long weekend trips in scenic places they are great. I love having heat, AC, microwave, stove top and hot showers. Beats the heck out of being in a tent anyways. One thing I can’t stand though are the crowded RV parks where they park everyone right up next to each other. That’s not camping, it’s the motel 6 for metal cans.... state parks tend to be a lot nicer.

We had one briefly. Didn't take long to figure out it was a white elephant.
Now, way back when, we had half interest in a camper built on a stake body that was just right for two people, and not hard to maintain.

We have a stealth camper ( A panel van converted into a camper van but has no windows on the sides or ornimentation)

Back in the old pipeline days in Alaska some smart folks converted their rv's in to cribs. They followed the work camps along the pipeline route. Made a lot of money too.
Have had many in the past. Currently am the new owner of a converted popup my dad did for me. He is retired and likes having projects. Took a cheap popup, removed the canvas, put up walls. It's small and doesn't have all the amenities, but it'd be better than sleeping on the ground or in a tent. Pulls easy and can sleep 3 comfortably. As of right now, though, it is my escape when my introvertedness gets to me while everyone is self-quarantining here at home. If needed it's easily hooked on to and we can take off and have something out of the elements with a bed.

This is our travel trailer. Both myself and my wife were tent campers but past 60 we wanted more comfort. Before COVID our plans were to use the trailer once a month and we stayed close to that schedule minus a few missed trips for repairs. As soon as my foot heals from surgery
, and we get our COVID shots we plan to hit the road again. We have lived for a week or two in the travel trailer. We named it "Escape Pod"
The wife and I are lookin to buy. She wants a pull-behind like this. I was thinking RV, deisel pusher hauling our truck, but we're still going over options. I agree, I'm getting to old to sleep on the cold ground if I can avoid it.
I would get a "Toy Hauler" rv. Not sure about 5th. wheel or tow bar style. I will use the "Toy" storage space for my reloading and firearm workshop.
I want one of these for when the SHTF...

I’d demand that the dealer add on an M2 .50 caliber machine gun and a Mark 19 grenade launcher if he wants to complete the sale.

In my area, campers and the like are useless in a crisis, too many mountains and too steep mountain roads.
Since I would be a really mean guy in a crisis I would prepare such a camper with any things like the video from the post above and put the cart somewhere good.
If I then sit in the mountain forest I can then watch well as a few left-wing do-gooders who mock me all the time in my preparations fly over the Jordan when you crack the camper.
