I don’t like the idea of a device that listens and records everything you say or do in my house either. I’m amazed at how many people just jumped on board and thought these devices are great. I know that a tv or smart phone can be used to listen, but at least they have to suspect you of a crime and get a warrant first to use them, supposedly. The echo and other devices are scary to me. They track your every move to be able to sell you more. Nuts!

Brent, you left out a point:

Your comments seem to assume that we should be concerned about the government invading our privacy.

A private person can do all of their own spying for a pittance in computer stuff.

Your employer, ex girlfriend, criminals, etc. can spy on you all they want.
