There is such glee on Social Media today because some kid who didn't want a chicken pox vaccine now has it. People are going crazy because this one person is threatening the population.

Almost every post states that now he will definitely have shingles. Everyone in my generation had chicken pox but very few had shingles.

It's all about immune deficiency they say. I'm thinking that since we have eliminated the need to use our own immunize system because we use medicines for everything, our immune systems will become obsolete due to nonusage.

I'm not an anti-vaxer. I have had my kids vaccated. I personally have had chicken pox, mumps, measles etc. To us, it was a right of passage. Now they act as though it's like the plague.

I believe we need to let our bodies do the work and build up immunities. Lay off the antibiotics for simple things.

When the SHTF we will need to fight off catastrophes such as scrapes and cuts, cold and flu without the help of medicines.

I just read that two people died recently from the bubonic plague. It wasn’t in the states but even here we have it in the south west. My point is that diseases are out there, I’m all for vaccines to help keep them at bay. Sure, there are some risks, but for the population overall it’s benefits far outweigh the risks. As far as antibiotics being over used, unfortunately I’ve read that it’s too late on that one. So many bugs are resistant right now that new treatments are allready needed. I’ve been very fortunate to have lived my entire life, up to now, where I knew a pill could easily cure most infections. Wish I could say that for my children too.

everyone worries about germs,,go into walmart and there are wipes to get rid of germs on the buggy handles cashiers wearing rubber gloves,,,,I don't bother with any of it I see these people and think they are foolish,,,,,,if you are going to get sick all the wipes and shots and pills will not keep it from happening,just live your life and don't worry about what might happen

I firmly believe that people don't expose Their kids to enough dirt and germs anymore. My kids grew up in dirt and lake water and were relatively healthy compared to their peers,

I also believe that this is the reason allergies are so prevalent in children.

When I was in school, not one classmate had an inhaler.

All statements above are correct . I think the worst diseases should be vaccinated for . Like small pox maybe measles but chicken pox, mumps and such should run their course .
The bubonic plague deaths were from tourists eating raw marmot (spelling) I think in Mongolia .

Give the kid a few IV's of CDS. Then a year of physical therapy and he can go find those doctors that injected him and take care of business.
