I wore some tactical gloves for a while but not being in the military any more I found them to by OVER ENEGINEERED and thus affecting the my tactile capabilities, no doubt about it they are great for frontline combat troops but I found I needed something lighter though still protecting, So I ended up with a pair of Kona Mountain Biker Gloves instead, they still give protection against the wind and abrasion but are that bit more tactile.

had a pair of mechanics, did wear the thumbs out in a blink, wasn't quite happy, now I have a few pair of leather gloves, the tactical ones, happy with them.

I also started placing the reviews down in the Survival Gear Forum

Independent reviews from users like BOB are exactly the sort of info we crave, I hate seeing reviews on some forums that are little more than sponsored adverts, its the same with some "" Survival Mags" just glorified sponsored adverts and anything but unbiased. So BOB you have access to a far greater range of products than many of us do so PLEASE keem em coming, I share them with my friends over here.

Lol...Silent Earth...don't laugh I have a 50 gallon galvanize container that I call my dump pile. In the dump pile I have things I want to video, just haven't had time. Everything from radios (got some new Beofeng Ham handhelds, a 800Mghz radio, some new water filtering systems, even some new ammo that I've been piling up. My wife calls me the prepper horder now. I told her she will have one hell-of a yard sale. Except the son say's if I hit the pearly gates...all the crap is going to be his little prepper Mecca. lol...chip off the old block. Just bought him a Dragunov Sniper Rifle for his grad gift. Gone are the days kids want a watch...he apparently is in love with his new weapon. Also, I am hoping to entice those that love to show off their weapons, to begin doing videos on them. It would be great to see more people contribute.

I bought about 8 of them on sale one day from Tractor Supply, six I made into Faraday cages. Another I sprayed a silicon based protective covering on the entire outside, then lined the entire inside with a plastic shell. I then used a food sealer and sealer bags on 300 rounds of ammo, batteries, food, clothing, medical items, meds. Then separated them into non-food and food items. Wrapped the food items in industrial garbage bags. Placed it in the trashcan and sealed the lid with silicon and then gorilla taped the entire lid. Buried the entire things at a location along my new BOL route. I did that in January, as I am relocating a lot of my preexisting caches along my varied routes. I left only one large cache in Colorado near my friend's home and the one that is in Wyoming. These serve cache sites serve as my last resort bugout plan to Montana and also a reverse cache to family and friends if they need to bug out from Montana and Washington. Due to the heavy rains, I pulled out this new cache can, just to see if it is working well. No leaks, everything was pristine and their not even dirt was adhering to the outside of the can.
