I agree with every letter of your first sentence and first 6 words of the second. But I just don't understand the last 2 words of the second sentence. What's the point then!

I do not think 'destroy them' means physical. I didn't take it to mean go out & kill them all. I took it to mean destroy their power, destroy their base, destroy their lies, destroy their position with the American people. For the most part we can do that without physical damage. We may need to hit some arms taking away the microphone...

Mercy is only for those who believe. I really doubt most of the Left have any faith. If they do not believe in God, do not want to be with God, why would God torture them by making them spend eternity with Him?
