all out nuclear war is the one thing I don't prep for as I don't believe it is surviveable any way, and who wants to die a slow death of radiation poisoning? not me.

Paul,,,,if you have a good shelter and supply's and a radiation detector you can stay in the shelter a couple months poke your head out and check the levels do this until the levels have dropped to a safe level,,,,,,,all it takes is lots of supply's and a level head,,,as long as you don't get cabin fever you can survive and live a good life,,,,there may not be many people around but you will still be there

i don't care about the people not being there, but I think a good bracket of ground burst nuclear bombs would probably do for the UK, air burst would be something else.

I don't know about those here who live outside the US but as Americans people have very short memories...Take for instance the wall came down 25 years ago we seem to have forgotten that but the Russians haven't. I think in Russia's mind the Cold War has not ended. With this mutual admiration society that Trump and Putin are creating it could be a lull before the storm.

Having an underground shelter is great if your in it when it happens if not your chances are slim....Lets not forget that in a nuclear blast the radiation comes later its that initial blast where debris is thrown at hundreds of miles per hour through the air thats going to take out 99% of the population. You have to survive that initial blast.
