I had someone ask me a while ago to make some front pocket mag carriers. Just sewn up out of Cordura and Slip Not grip fabric. They worked really well, I have one somewhere.

I think I will make an EDC front pocket carrier the same way, shaped to fit the actual pocket, I'm curious to see what I can get in there and still have it be comfortable.

Maybe dash something out tomorrow night.

Having a harder time with this than I thought, I think it's the pants. I have 3 pairs of dickies carpenters pants, they are my work pants and everyday wear. I have made 2 prototypes, shaped to the front pocket, and I am not happy with either.

I should be able to get a 9mm mag, and a SOG multitool side by side in the pocket, but the Dickies, on this model pant, have a vertical slash front pocket, rather than a front pocket opening that sits at a slight angle. So instead of just dipping into the pocket for the mag, you have to reach down and come in from the side, makes for a clumsy mag retrieve.

I could just go with a shaped mag holster for the left front, and then a small pouch in one of the side pockets, but it would be super nice to have ONE thing I could take out at night, and drop in the next morning.

I am going to look for another pair of pants to make the holster for, a respectable looking khaki carpenter pant, with different front pockets.

Not ready to make my own pants yet lol. Just not quite there.

I like the Wrangler Riggs work wear pants. The pocket is way better. If I make a carrier I like, I will switch to those, and get rid of the Dickies. The Wrangler's are slightly heavier, and double knee, so not as great in the summer. But I probably wont die of heat stroke.

OOOHHH they have a tactical Riggs work wear pant!

It has stupid front pockets. Wonder what makes them tactical?
