well im new here for 1 and also new to prepping, im looking for a bug out bag list to get my bob ready, it dont even gotta be a list just some stuff yall recommend in a bob or in your own bob. if you can help leave a reply every little bit will help. thanks

For a fire kit I'd suggest cotton balls with Vaseline on them. I recently tried these and I was surprised how well it worked. Other than that I'd say a good fixed blade knife, ways to purify water, spare set of clothes, food with long shelf life (canned tuna, beef jerky) a medical kit is very important also

This is a good list for a newbie...

My advice it whatever you put in your bugout bag, make sure you put plenty of ziplock bags in there as well, if it rains while your bugging out or you fall in water your supplies could get wet and be rendered useless. Before packing your bugout bag try spraying a thin to thick mist of water proofing spray, you can get it at any hunting and fishing store or store that carries items like that. And make sure you put things you don't want wet or rusted or ruined by water into those ziplock bags as well. :)

to everyone I do recommend; learn first-aid and see that your first-aid kit has enough of stuff you can use

Welcome and thanks for joining. The BOB has been covered all through the forum. I'm sure you can find a good bit of it in a search. Other than that, the skills on how to use it are invaluable. Perhaps more so than the gear itself. Once you know what it is you're trying to accomplish(Fire, shelter, etc) and the theory behind it, then you will start to see things differently and will be able to make due with a lot of what you find in the woods or around you in general. Learn as much as you can about shelter, fire, water, food, first aid, etc... Those things will have you in a much better position than having a bag of things with minimal knowledge. My $.02....
