I've been concerned about doomsday scenarios for a long time but recently I've come to see how easily they could become reality. Naturally that led me to prepping but . . . I don't have any real survival knowledge or useful experience. So I guess I came here to learn from the best

Yes, there is a lot of knowledge here, it's quite useful.
When I started out on this journey, I kept an open mind, and learnt as much as I could, then tried to put it into practice.
Am I there yet? Not even close, but after six years of preparing, i have learnt that every day is a lesson, and every day is a step closer to my goal.
Don't be afraid to ask either, don't ask, don't learn.
And don't be afraid to share your journey. It may not seem like much to you, but it is an inspiration for us, and we can all learn from each other, no matter how big or how small the lesson.
Prep well.
