Hello fellow preppers

I'm CarolinaPrepper.

It sure is nice to finally find a community that thinks the way I do. Hopefully the same is said about myself in return, before long!

So how did I become a Prepper?:

When I was 13 years old, my 9th grade English class watched ‘The Day After” (1983) and we were told to write a paper. The movie scared the hell out of me and I promised myself I would NEVER be one of those helpless people in the movie, unaware, unprepared, and useless. Since that day, I’ve made preparing(for anything) the staple of my life. Never will I allow myself to be caught off guard.

So that’s why I’m here. An aware mind is a prepared mind. What better way to remain aware than to find other likeminded folks like yourselves?

I was 13, too, when I first really got interested in prepping. That's when Hurricane Katrina hit (I lived in Southern MS at the time) and I saw first-hand how bad things can get from something that isn't even "world-ending."
This is a great group and you'll learn a lot just by searching through the different topics, and you can always ask questions and there are knowledgeable people who will answer them.
