Hi! I just joined the forum, but have been a prepper of sorts my whole life. I grew up in rural Kentucky, and that meant keeping supplies on hand for bad winters, power outages, flooding, and every other sort of inconvenience rural life threw at us. Through all the cities I lived in since, including the one I live in now, I've always maintained a cache of food and water, self-defense measures, and the means to clear out if necessary.

Welcome from an ex Kentuckian. Was just up in Louisville recently. Prepping to me just makes sense, not a fad or hobby. I think most rural or country people know the value of having some supplies on hand much more than most in urban areas.

Howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right oninwithany replies you have on a topic.
