I'm ok with that. But I'll also say stupid is as stupid does. Exert a force and expect an equal and opposite response. Flip off a cop, and don't be surprised that the cop exercises every authority he has to ruin your day. As he should. And if I were that cop, I'd do the same.

I don't have much time for cops,,,,,never there when you need one,and when they are around they give you a hard time

they are pretty much useless to me

SIASD. Along with free speech, comes the right to be stupid. Both can and often do get people in trouble.

Typically police are underpaid, overstretched. With all the paperwork, and crazy rules. They are doing the best they can with what they have.

Would you risk your life day in and day out for strangers.

I'm not saying all police are saints. There are always bad apples. Most of the police I know are good people, just trying to do a job.

I think there are times when some cops deserve the middle finger. There are just too many cops everywhere. Most are overpaid for what little work they do. Hiding behind a building waiting for someone to drive by going a little too fast just shows that there's too many cops.
Just like any other profession there are good cops as well as bad. In my county we have almost no crime, but yet we still have 6 or 7 cops on duty. Maybe it comes down to the fact that we have too damn many laws and that law enforcement has become a tool to help fill the industrial prison complex.

its the other way where I live, I haven't seen a cop to speak to since I left the city 20 years ago, they have closed all the rural police stations. they don't attend burglaries and the motorist is a cash cow. they lost control of the streets years ago, they couldn't control the "London Riots" and they cant control the knife crime, Police numbers have been dropping year on year ever since 2010.
on top of that police have become too political and p.c.

I have been all over the USA,I live in a small community I rarely see one I have been here since 2004 and the one time I needed one it was nearly 2 hours before anyone showed,,,and it is about the same in Jacksonville Florida,,

a lot can happen in 2 hours,,all they can do at that point is clean up the mess,,,,,,,for the most part we are on our own when it comes to crime

our nearest manned police station is 25-30 miles away and that is nearly 1 hours travel on our roads.
I live in a relatively crime free area but if something bad did happen a lot can happen in an hour.

yup that is why I have loaded gun in every room and the truck,,,,break into my house while I am here ,,,,I DARE THE DIRTBAGS TO,,,,,

See, I live in a college town with a presidential library. We get "Dignitaries " all the time. In our area we have Texas Rangers, Texas Dps, Deputy Sheriff's, two different city police departments, one college police department, one university police dept( that is the equivalent to state police), two different sets of city marshals.

So at times you cannot swing a cat without hitting one.

We have State Police, Sheriff's deputies, Marshall's deputies, and City Police. I did not think the Marshall's office was involved in traffic enforcement until my son got a ticket from a Marshall's deputy. So we've got quadruple jeopardy when driving here.
