Duh-Bull-Poster! ;-) I appreciate that video. What do you shoot them with? I asked on the other thread, but I'll ask again, do you carry another bag and the maxpedition together?

Edit: Disregard the question. I missed it when you said it in the beginning of the video. It attaches. I assume it's MOLLE? I know that's not the main focus here, but I have a fascination with bags. My wife teases me all the time about hoarding backpacks, duffles, and other bags... She hoards bags too, but hers are stylish!

I agree on the importance of fire. It's a major deal most of the time in the woods. I like a shelter too, though. I have run a fire in the shelter before, even though I don't think it's a very good idea most of the time. Now, if I can talk you into a demo video where you use all of that kit to start a fire.

Hey Alabaster...good hearing from you. I guess we share one bad habit because I am always buying bags, and never have settled, even though I do like these little Maxepedition bags since they go on so well with my body vest, they don't come off, even when I am doing low crawls and literally, you have to pull them off to get them off. As for the the Maxpedition bags all have the standard loops but you can also buy clips. I guess the military hasn't left me when I plan for a trip, a lot of my bags are mission oriented ones...one for mountain climbing, one for backpacking into deep wilderness, one for just day or three day hike, standard BOB, patrol bag, sniper bag, medic bag, etc. I know sounds like a lot of bags, but they do have their ups and downs. Hence why I pack for different missions.

As for videoing. I just use a small Sony Handcam, then download them to the hard drive....my son taught me to edit, but I still at the elementary level of using the camera. Funny, I think I've got about 2 or 3 cameras including a go-pro which is still in the wrapping box, I got from Xmas, still haven't had time to learn it, son has played with it a bit. Anyway, then I download it to Youtube so that I can place it on DPF. Only way I've found to place it on DPF is Youtube, can't download the file as wmv file.

I know their are several ways to make fire, learned a lot during my Air Force survival training course at Fairchild, Washington. The Survival guys were pretty rough on us and made us make sure we could start fires different ways, including the old bow technique. I'd prefer the faster route of lighter, zippo, or even one of those butane flamers...you can find in autohobby areas...have one packed in the BOB. I know we've discussed this at length and really enjoyed Maverick Charcloth discussion, when I find time, I am going to include that someway in the kit.

Lol...yeah, I was thinking I will need a break during Xmas break to recharge my batteries away from 12-14 year olds and with the football season ending, I will have a little time, thinking I might go up into the Colorado wilderness for some winter survival training. Maybe I can bring the Go-pro camera along and do one.

Anyway, hope all is well. PM...me sometime to tell me how things are in Florida...hope the move went without a hitch.
