Be careful if practicing a survival situation and living off the land . You can see these "professional" survivalists digging worms or grabbing insects eating them whole. Claiming they are getting protein. I just saw where the Aussie Rugby Player that swallowed the slug as a dare has been in a vegetated state for a long time has just died . I could forage alot from the land but I also cook almost everything .

The slugs favorite food is mouse/rat shit, so go ahead and eat that slug ya, I seen those survival stunts too where they eat slugs and certain snails, I remember through JOTC training they strongly advised against it so I don't know where the hell these so-called tv and youtube experts are getting this from.

a lot of insects like snails and worms have to be starved for a few days to get all the toxins out of their systems before you can eat them, not everything is edible straight away.

There's a large lot of emergency food on Craigslist, Brazil ,Indiana. If you got 3K to fork over. Thought that was interesting as it is the first time I have seen this type of thing on Craigslist.

What is the shelf life of peanut butter? I know honey will last a looooong time, but not sure of this.

A couple of years, I buy 8 jars at a time when it is cheap.

If you live up north, an excellent renewable substitute for TP is mullein (Verbascum sp.).

This plant is great because it grows wild all over the place (at least in upstate N.Y.), and it's supposedly good for asthma and flu symptoms.

The leaves are velvety soft, yet large. They also don't rip easily, and are an appropriate substitute for TP.

Wonder what that's like when the temp goes below freezing?

A 19 year old rugby player was turned into a quadripeleigic by eating a raw slug when he became infected with rat lungworm.

When the body fights the lungworm, a crisis happens called eosiniphillic encephalitis (I think--but am not sure), and this 19 year old rugby player was left a quad and in a vegetative state.

Cook you snails and slugs.
