Covid-19 in UK

Very worrying. Example; I have stayed at home like the government asked. I therefore didn't catch the virus and as a result have no antibodies.
So I can still not leave the house. Then they will say I can get a vaccine. Thereby forcing everyone to get a vaccine.

I am not anti vac but I won't be getting one without a longterm study done on it.

Even if the do a long-term study, how do we know that they are giving us the vaccine what they tested or something which will kill us in a few months and they say, oh well, some people just have allergic reactions to the vaccine.....thanks, but no thanks

vaccine has to be passed as safe for public use over here, I doubt if anything will be available before Christmas at the earliest.

It does sound like when this is all settled down the main changes in the West will be

a) universal basic income (costs less than paying 80% of everyones wages + benefits)
b) mandatory vaccinations (freedom of movement restricted further unless papers say you are clean)
c) public acceptance of mass government tracking and surveillance. (implemented under the guise of health protection)

in addition the number of independent businesses will decrease and the dominance of large firms will be complete

it is said 60% of UK businesses have closed because of the pandemic and will never reopen again.
I think we are looking at high unemployment in the UK for some time to come.
when things get back to normal- if they ever do- I think there will be a lot of working from home as a permanent thing.

The ONLY certainty for the future as far as I can see is that globalists, federalists and totalitarians are going to thrive and that scares the shit out of me.

I think there will be so many dead from this virus, no matter what country we are referring to, that life will never be normal again, welcome to the new normal that is nothing like anything you have known before.
life will be centred around tribe and location, the old ways will have to return because shipping everything from all around the world isn't going to be feasible anymore and anything we bought from other countries will be needed by them, a case of "hard luck chum".

After the Cold war I adjusted my preps to accomodate for 6 months to 1 year long crisise, I'm getting a gut feeling this Pandemic is going to morph into the mother of all recessions taking at least 2 years to weather. I am unequppped for 2 years in isolation and not wanting to prejudge others but I dont think many of us are equipped for 2 years

maybe in the US but not the UK, but then I never planned to have 2 years of supplies, supplies were/are only a stop gap until we can start producing our own food, this goes over the head of most UK preppers as they only plan for the short term.

If it gets to that point, I'll have to move to the BOL where we can be self sustaining.

I am in the boonies also,,,,there is a lot of cattle around here,I can see a lot of them going wild,at that point they will be something else to hunt

If this gets bad for a long while, I can see those cows get hunted without being "wild'. People who have livestock will be targeted. . . Just like people with gardens. It's already going on in parts of Europe and eventually here too probably.

Hunger will drive people to do things that they normally wouldnt especially if they have young ones at home.
