I've just read this and my word it's about time!

The government is to unveil a legal measure it says will protect UK troops from "vexatious" legal claims.

The change in policy, to be announced at the Conservative conference, would mean parts of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) could be suspended during future conflicts.

Much of the litigation faced by the Ministry of Defence comes from claims under the ECHR, the government says.

Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said the legal system had been "abused".

"It has caused significant distress to people who risked their lives to protect us, it has cost the taxpayer millions and there is a real risk it will stop our armed forces doing their job," he said.

decisions are made in seconds on a battlefield, no time to look up human rights legislation, some officer says shoot you shoot!!

Now only if our Government would end the idiocy, the Military is designed to kill not pamper the enemy. In combat in particularly firefights where does human rights play in to this? It fxxxxx DON'T!! In combat you stay alive at all cost, keep your buddies alive at all cost and by the Grace of GOD you come home alive. Anybody wants to preach human rights to me on the battlefield ain't living reality period.

I'm beginning to get loads of warm fuzzy feelings about this brexit thing from places I didn't expect. It would seem it's being used as a reason to rid ourselves of an awful lot of EU nonsense, and the miraculous thing is... this Govt has realised that fact and is actioning on it. Oh how that worm Corbyn must be foaming at the mouth watching all these socialist, happy clappy bull-poo rules and regs coming crashing down.
