Ok, time for a little explanation.

I work with a bunch of melenals. Aka. Cry baby, helicopter parented, helmeted, pansies. That call in sick, for A HANGOVER!!!! That don't want a job where they might get dirty, or break q sweat. Who believe man buns are cool, men's rompers are in. And give guys with beards a bad name.

I didn't want to make anyone mad!!

I'll be 66 this summer. Wife turned 50 not long ago and she has a lot of millennial's come through her lab at the university, she has such kind words. I had a little nameplate engraved with 'Leave your pampers outside' to put on her desk, she laughed and said no so it sets on her desk at home as a paper weight

Probably best she leaves it at home. It'll only make the millennials cry.

Late, very late 60ies. Old enough to be very dangerous. Raised my sons with work ethics. They know what the real world is and how to deal with it, no safe spaces for them. Glad I am retired, I could not deal with the cry babies. I started my retirement paper work when HR told me I should find a way to motivate my employees. I told HR, I figured the pay check was the motivator. Keeping or advancing in my career was always my motivation.

I understand your frustration. I work with them too. One girl is pregnant. She called out sick for Braxton Hicks contractions ( there is no pain involved with this).
Another one has a set of twins that she doesn’t know who the father is. She is constantly on her cell phone. She has had 3 men take a paternity test. The third time was a charm. Last week, she asked to borrow a coworkers credit card (coworker is age age 52) so she could pay her student loan and said she would give her the money to pay her credit card . I thought the older coworker was going to lose her religion :)
Let’s just say the answer was an instant, NO!
Another one drove across state line to meet a man she met on line (she paid for a hotel) and was upset that her broke things off with her shortly afterwards. They all eat out for lunch every day. They complain they are broke. They complain of student loans... yet they all have their hair and nails done. The same girl that met the man at a hotel across state lines drives a car that smokes from lack of power steering fluid and something else... so she rented a car to go on the trip. She tried to get a new car loan, but was denied. She was told she needed a bigger down payment. The next week, she spent $200 on her hair. Of course you can’t say anything about leaving your pampers outside :) I like that one. So I just stand there in silence and blink.. I am sure they think I am the idiot.

We have one that likes to have family emergencies at least once a week. Cannot get to work on time to save her life. Another whom cannot find her backside with both hands, is 23 and still lives at home with mommy and daddy. Mommy works at another location, where daughter has a personality conflict with some one she steps in and raises heck. Mind you the girl is a wast of space. Then there are those still in college.......

I’m just glad I’m somewhat sheltered from all this, the only time I deal with the young folks when I go to town at the hardware, coop, lumber mill etc.. I’ve had small issues and that’s mainly dealing money mainly change. I’ve had issues with a few working for me bucking hay that’s not understanding manual labor but almost all my education regarding these young people are from the wife, news and online crap like YouTube. I had more issues with the parents who I swear were de-educated who would have been better off if they would’ve graduated in the sixth grade than 3 years of college.
