I've read that tale too,it sure doesn't paint a pretty pic of things gone to hell, but it proves the importance of prepping and if possible
the nessecity of having a place to relocate quickly,so you don't get stranded in a pile of doo-doo.

i've read it before,as well.i agree with jontte.it dont paint a pretty pic.and at the same time.it proves how bad things can,and most and likely will get,in a worse case situation,of any kind..

It just reminded me overall of just how utterly pointless NATO, UN, EU etc actually are that they could not stop a genocide smack bang in the middle of 20th century Europe, Just another Columbia, Ulster, Vietnam, Somalia etc where it does not matter how big and powerful your military is or how many rulings the international courts make you cannot win asymetric insurgencies when one side is determined to keep hating.

The power of hatred is scary. When some charismatic ### hole uses it to convince others to kill for his ambitions, it's hard to fight against. Anyone willing to blow themselves up or fly a plane into a building for someone else's cause is unimaginable to me.

Back on the the topic here. I too have seen a few versions of this story. Don't know if it was true or not, but it is a good thing to learn from. With all the political changes going on in this country, and the world, I can't help but see the instability of our security. I just saw where a woman was detained at the atl. airport. She was a us citizen, a professor at Clemson university for years. But since she was Iranian at birth they weren't going to allow her to come home to her house and job. Who would have thought this was possible in this country last week? All I can say is things change in life, garunteed. Not all the changes are good so let's all keep our eyes open and always be prepared to protect our friends and families.

A British MP ( like your Representatives) and a British sportsman with s knighthood have been told they cannot travel to the US.

things change at such a rapid speed now that it's a heck to try to keep up with it...and suddenly someone makes a bad choice and all hell breaks loose.

The media and the left is really spinning this whole thing out of proportion, Clinton banned certain groups when he was President as did obummer for 6 months with full support from the dems but no one protested then, this strictly has to do with the hatred of Trump nothing more!

Trump sure does know how to stir the pot. I honestly think he enjoys the chaos he is creating. I wonder if he creates media frenzie to distract from other things he is doing? Who did Obama and Clinton ban?

Who did Obama and Clinton ban?

Obama ban Iraqi's for 6 months No one said a damn thing when Obama turned the Iraqis away including Iraqi operators who worked with our special forces in the region
Clinton ban Haitian, Sierra Leone, also.. gone after illegals in 1996 and deported them, Clinton has one of the highest deportation rates

Think Trump is stirring the pot, I think Clinton started it ;) why did Clinton get a pass with full democratic support as shown below, the full video to the 1995 speech is somewhere out there? (https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4351026/clinton-1995-immigration-sotu)

Trump is practically doing what Clinton has done.. how is this stirring the pot when it's already been done before? Also Clinton-era immigration laws according to Human Rights Watch 1996 (no protest, no stirring the pot etc..) http://www.salon.com/2016/04/27/bil...ize_unjust_detention_human_rights_watch_says/

And we know how Hillary supports the immigrants or so she says.. but everyone giving her a pass on these comments (2015) from both the press and the left;

Instead of using a meme I used below, here's the real deal. I was being called a lier for using the meme elsewhere, trouble is, I looked it up before using the meme. Yep, the cupcakes pissed me off!

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate

Your right on the immigration bans by both Obama and Bill Clinton. Bush did as well, and the thing is, I don't remember any commotion about any of it. I would agree here trump is catching more backlash than he deserves on this issue. I think both sides are full of crap most of the time and will pull up anything they can to try to make the other side look bad. I will say that I'm glad they backed off on the green card issue. Between the military advisors that risked their lives to help our guys and the educated ones that went through the hoops to get here legally and have already been vetted, there is no reason to keep them out.

The difference is the media is totally in the Democrats back pocket now. Bush caught hell for everything he did too. The liberal controled media will do anything to make Trump and the Republicans look bad. Nevermind that most Americans support the ban and keeping this trash out of the US.

Are you sure you have the whole story here? If a citizen, the ban would not apply. My guess is instead, she's just a LONG time resident that kept renewing her green card. This happens a LOT...but it isn't citizenship. Thing is, if you're going to live somewhere more than a decade, and insist loyalty to that state, you need to become a citizen to prove it. Otherwise, your loyalty is questionable at a time of strife between nations. Not to say she isn't, but just illustrating the perception. Renewal is an easier road than citizenship, so I get why many do it, but we all knew this was part of his platform and was coming.

If she really IS a citizen though, then this is a complete failure on the part of those preventing her return, as they are NOT following the order.

I think you are probably right on her just having a green card. I kind of agree that even though he enacted it with no advanced warning, it was one of the things he clearly stated while running. It really should have not been a huge suprise.
