Whats happening at the Zim border?
This is some of the info we got yesterday, apparently there was a ban placed on the import of some goods to Zim, i will place the list if i can find it.

UPDATE: 11h11AM 2 July 2016 - Road between Musina & Beitbridge cleared overnight by law enforcement with tear gas, brooms & trucks - border post is open today & situation seems calm

Even rioting protestors need weekend rest

---------------------------------------

#SABC #MediaBlackout
#ZIMRA ( #Zimbabwe Revenue Authority) warehouse at #Beitbridge border-post looted & burnt this evening after huge protest today by #SouthAfrican traders regarding import restrictions placed on goods going into Zim. Estimated 45 vehicles burnt. #Musina also chaotic.

Buses including a Greyhound coach torched in Musina. Munenzva bus driver killed.

Army called in after SA & Zim police could not control growing angry mob

Distraction for opening the border with Zimbabwe - A distraction to excuse the start of the United Africa ? Doubt it, but who knows, something big is up all over Sub Saharan Africa and the "leaders" are silent

LIMPOPO, MUSINA TO BEITBRIDGE BORDER POST SOUTH AFRICA / ZIMBABWE

Info on all the incidents around the country is very minimal at this stage, it is all done on social media, if our news chanels do say anything the situation is down played as a minor incedent.

Dunno about you but when I read your posts for the last few months I see a pattern of organised chaos and anarchy, to many incidents designed for a reason, this United Africa could be something, and you know what will happen to whites, afrikaans, boers, and foreign investors, just look at Venezuela about 6 years ago.

I just started reading an apocolyptic novel last night, the patriots, and it's eerily similar to what your going thru. I hope you have some friends to band together with.

We do, and the possibility to move to our BOL permanently has just come up today, but a lot of things still need to fall in place before we can move. If things keep progressing the way they do we will be writing our own novels soon, the only diff wil be that ours will be based on actual events.

Elections over, now the riots start all over again another school burnt down.
Vuwani.

It's really sad to see the turmoil and destruction in your beautiful country. Unfortunately it's becoming the norm all over the globe.

It looks like the University's will be starting as well.
Pretoria yesterday (peacefull)

The petroleum industry in SA is also on strike currently, most petrol stations in the North of Pretoria have run dry, so far it has been peaceful, but today they said they will be intensifying their efforts, and by African standards does not mean anything good.

15 000 ESKOM workers embarked on an unprotected (illegal) strike, with our current failing electricity infrastructure, we could probably singing the song Sound of Silence "Hello darkness my old friend" again.

Is it only me that can see the irony in a couple of the photos? Burning a school to the ground in one and demanding free education in another. What planet are these folk on?
Joe, I feel for you I had relatives in what is now Zimbabwe, they were forced out by Mugabes' thugs and barely made across the border with their lives.

Sally if you scroll back in this thread you will see how much damage they already caused to several universities in the previous round. Its truly ironic, its like one person trying to dig a hole and three others filling it at the same time, sooner or later the guy digging is going to get buried. Real sad about the relative's that had to flee Zim, they probably did so with only the shirts on their backs. It is a scene that has played itself out so many times over in Africa, Kenya, Angola Rhodesia (Zim), Mozambique, Burundi and so many others. If you ever come across a video called "Africa Adue" try to watch it, you would probably not be able to finish it, its documentary that was made in the 70's about what happened in the countries not long after they gained their independence from colonialism. Unfortunately that is also part of the true face of Africa. The best way i can describe it is, have you ever touched and played with a real lion no matter the age, it is one of the most amazing experiences you could ever have, but just as loving as they are, they are just as dangerous, the perfect killing machine alone even more effective in a group, but while playing and touching the lion you become mesmerized by its beauty, loving and playfull behaviour. You miss all the singns that it is actually going to pounce on you, the big yawn, the small flick in the tail and the ears that have pricked up straight. If you you dont leave you are going to be on the menu.

My uncle and Aunt moved to Rhodesia just after the war and built a thriving farm, provided a school and paid for the teachers and had a little cottage hospital with a visiting Dr (also paid for by them) for their workforce. When Mugabe came to power as you know, he promised anyone who voted for him land, That the land was already legally owned by people like my uncle, didn't seem to matter, they finally had to give in when the farm was burned from under them and they made a break for the border in two Landrovers under the cover of darkness. My uncle said if it hadn't been for those two Landy's they would have been caught and killed. He lost some good neighbours and now Mugabe has what he wanted, a dirt poor, uneducated society easily controlled by the likes of him.

Just got word now, that our local municipal offices are going up in flames, they have already burnt the library a year ago, the only buildings left is the police station, courthouse and the jail.

Some cultures innovate, create, better themselves, broaden their minds, improve their lot, create more wealth, better their lives.

Other cultures stagnate, destroy what others create, feed on envy, thrive on hate, stay narrow minded, consume others wealth, destroy what is good.

A Monochrome issue.
