I hope I didn't cause fear with that post. As stated above this area has been experiencing the usual occurances of EQ's with a slight increase of movement and overall activity around the entire ring. The data that has been uncovered with testing and research does indicate that we are in fact way over due for a big EQ in this area, and with a severe tsunami. That is what we should be concerned about. My sources do indicate unusual activity and an increase in EQ's off shore as well as around the entire ring, more so than in past history and enough activity that has scientists within some agencies to look closer at whats going on with a higher degree of concern. A small increase of activity is reason to look closer at this area and be more aware and concerned for what may occur in the near future.
If we all have our reasons to prepare this is surely a reason for people on the west coast to be concerned and concerned more than just being aware of the constant EQ's we already are used to. My post wasn't an "all of a sudden" we are having earthquakes, it was a message of something that has been going on for a very long time but now new data has come out proving a schedule going way back of EQ's and Tsunamis with an increase in activity in the PNW. It's just another reason of concern to consider in your survival excersizes to be prepared.
A reason for concern that should be considered for people in the PNW region.

some would also wonder why in 14 years with Fresno County' OES and the PNW having hundreds of quakes that all of a sudden we are having more classes and education on disaster preparedness and the major focus has been the PNW. This I believe is caused by the media's "all of a sudden" coverage of something that has always been a threat and as usual they sometimes go over board.

Earthquakes are hard to predict accurately, kind of like the odds of rolling snake eyes. The longer it's been since you've rolled them, the more likely you are to, but that's about it, unless they get measurable tremors before the main quake. Around here, in Arkansas, we've had some slight shakes due to fracking, and the New Madrid line might send refugees from St. Louis and Memphis rippling out like a Zombie Apocalypse, but we're far enough away to avoid any real damage or hordes.

I personally like the chase the tail technique...always a sniff or two there. Since your kissing your S#$ goodbye.

Lisa boss sent her this report on the Early Warning System

50s warning, 49s before S wave hit his location.

"The early warning went off 50s before the S wave from the M2.7 30km deep under Vancouver Is at 4:49pm was due to reach my building. A few seconds after the S wave was predicted to arrive, the window distinctly creaked. The seismograms in Seattle show some 1-2Hz energy around this time."
