Takedown bow vs Crossbow

Considering either a Takedown bow or a Folding crossbow for bugging out.
Bow is about half the weight 3lbs vs 6lbs
Crossbow is more powerful and a lot easier to hold a sight picture​
What are your thoughts on the matter?
Does anyone currently use either that they would recommend?
 
If I were adding a bow to bug out gear it would be a take down recurve . faster follow up but a cross bow would give you more range and acuracy but so would a .22 rifle . It would be a wash either way .
 
Goprimalnow.com their compact survival bow folds into itself and is hands down the best on the market. I own 2. One for me and one for my fiancée. One in 40pds and the other in 55. You can take any game with 55pds.

Ok, that is just sweet as hell!
Something just made the wishlist.
Would be real easy to put under a truck seat too.
 
A colleague of mine who is also a prepper has bought one of the American folding survival bows rated at 50# and he loves it.
 
I would also go with the take down bow! I dont have one but i do own a recurve and would take it with me if i bugged out its still easy to throw over your shoulder and very lite! it would also be easier to make replacement arrows /arrow heads for a break down bow ! a crossbow would be a little more tricky since bolts ride in a track and would need to be straighter and completely smooth.
 
well,it depends on the area you're in..will you be in any tight areas that'll keep you from using a take down/recurve/compound bow? and like others have pointed out.the crossbow has better accuracy..can you make your own arrows for a break down bow and/or cross bow?
