Picked up some trinkets to add to my emergency box, since I have propane for emergencies and prep supplies, picked up thread sealant and tape for the propane gas lines if needed, teflon tape and faucet attachments I use with my bellow foot pump to push water out of water lines if the need would ever arise in an emergency. Just small stuff though indispensable.

Still trying to get my garden tilled , rain rain . Im going to let it dry 1/2 day today and till it wet or not . Suposed to rain tonight agin .
I know how you feel, . . . have half of mine done right now, but it has been raining and the new part is wet! Even after a few days of rain I am slippin and sliddin which is why I have been digging raised bed on the new part. Even with the clay we have around here, if you can get it planted and started, it will grow. I have been mulching the rows with mulch, but ran out and started in with rice hulls, which I get for free from a rice mill a few miles done the road. In between, a very thick layer of pine needles and leaves. It's been heck recently and we got some rain tonight with more expected in the morning

yeah..that rain is play hectic here to..my yard is beginning to look like the hay field behind where i live.on account it's simply way to wet out to do anything.and here's i am wanting to mow the yard and put the clippings on my garden..

Here it was pretty easy, as long as you're not a felon and can afford the fee.

as I'm applying for a semi-automatic it's best to be very, very specific here, luckily I have it almost figured out what to hunt and so on and some guns are semi's, something I can't help ;)

and I hope my new status will help too..

My plan for the fay is to finally plant my little garden. It's been so wet here that I haven't been able to to put the final till on it so I can plant. I've added almost 700 lbs of compost, topsoil and garden soil mix, but I need to till it, row it up & put in the little seeds. I'll get the transplants in this week, then I just need to get the mulch. I planted 3 10 gallon tubs with potato seeds about 3 weeks ago just to see how they will do. So far I only see one tiny sprout emerging from each tub from the 4 I planted in each tub. Yeah....I planted 12 potatoes so I should have a bumper crop. lol

I did join the gym about a month ago, so I guess that's a kind of prep. I need to lose some weight and get in shape. I'm feeling stronger but me old knees don't like those weight machine like they used to.

at least now my family knows what I do wish for my b-day(that SKS),and they we're pleasantly surprised that it will not cost so much..

Gardening beats a gym anyday! I sometime think it's too much of a workout, but the satisfaction and reward is worth the effort. I canned 18 half pints of beets last night, some to enjoy and some for gifts.

Can an AR be classified as a hunting rifle? I guess that depends on what kind of game your hunting.

helluwa job in doing that here ;) would I manage it, then I could win in the lottery too :)
had I started hunting years and years ago it might be possible, but for now,not enough years behind me, it's so difficult here..
next weekend it's garden time..I'll get some flowers from my ex which helps my garden to attract bees and other pollinating flyers there.

i have 2 large flower pots just off the front porch.gonna plant cosmos flowers there.i also have 4-16 gallon pots that im gonna plant herbs in..had to sprinkle some ant killer onto the soil in 2 of them,on account of ants,

I got 8 30 gallon foods grade barrels on an online auction today. Picked them up and found they had used for jalapeño shipping.
Clean up will take more than I hoped. Figured to use a couple for collecting maple sap in the spring. A few more to store wheat
in for grinding flour.

Jalapeno Maple does not sound like a good combanation to me .

not this one it aint..the one i have is called, prickly pear cactus,...and the juice from them is good for ya..

Here's a picture of my little urban garden that I planted last weekend. Almost everything has sprouted up since I took this picture last week. I was able to fit peppers, tomatoes, carrots, eggplant, onions, green beans, field peas, lima beans, squash and cucumbers here. The containers are potatoes & I have 3 tiny flowers beds with broccoli, cabbage and lettuce.

I've never posted a pic before so I hope I'm doing this right.
