have to read it...don't know why,but I like information...alot of it..the more I know the better I feel, even if some info get my blood preasure to rise

spoke yesterday with brother and his missus, they both work at the air-port,asked what do they have for protection there, just in case something nasty was dropped at their laps...the answer was far from satisfying;they have NOTHING,asked have they not even a a paper facemask?? no,well what do you protect your self with?? their person in charge of personel safety had said to them, ooh, take a papaer towel and breath through that...think I have to give them atleast two of my face masks...

The Hot Zone should be mandatory reading for anyone concerned about Ebola. The only question is: Can you handle the truth?
had to do a quick search about this...even the little I found made me some what "uneasy".......

so,now we are waiting for the second ebola test here...accordingly to our almighty healtcare officials there's absolutely nothing to worry about,we have every angle under control here...sure hope so

I am a wee bit worried about this patient in Durham NC, they said his results came back negative. However they are doing another test and the results will be back in 72 hours. But the family in the house is under strict quarantine and there is even a police officer parked outside of the home so that no one leaves. Then the reporter on the news said the officer told them if they get any closer they will have to stay inside the house for 72 hours or more. Which tells me something isn't right. Something smells fishy about it all. I am beginning to think everyone will be negative until after the elections are done with.

Just a bit of overreaction, which is actually good for a change. Pretty rare to test negative, THEN positive, so sounds like just being careful.

Well lets hope all is well they still haven't updated anything. The good thing is the test they did was the one that takes 24 hours, some of the ones they have been doing lately are only about 2 hours and they come back negative which makes us all wonder.

what worries me is the silence...like it's over and gone...not likely..

Congrats,my US friends, you just got a doc from Sierra Leone, critically ill from ebola, flown in to Nebraska.

they are starting with enhanced screenings in US for passengers from Mali, and you don't need to worry about that sick doc any more..he's dead, just wonder was it worth the risk of transporting someone that sick abroad only to die??

No.the risk of a out break such as ebola simply aint worth it,when it comes to any country.and the 15 minute test should be done before they board the plane,to leaveing any infected country.and if anyone is found to have it.is to stay in that country, untill thier no longer infected.or dead..and IF they do die from it.then ALL theneeded precautions needs to be taken.where thier taken stright to the cemetery and buryed, once thier in the u.s...

The one doc just died of it, becoming the second in the US to die from it.
Of course, he was pretty much gone when they transferred him here.

Me too. Medically, this should have been pretty apparent as a no-win scenario...at least from the articles I read on it.

apparently, they are now scared of a possible outbreak in India, seems like they have someone at the new Delhi airport quarantined...oh,mankind really want this to evolve to a full pandemic..picture a country with 1,2 billion people living close together..

If these folks would quit getting on planes.......

so quiet these days about this ebola, but still last time I checked my news here:600 new cases...so it's far from over :(
