I like the idea. Thanks, jumLE. Once I close this poll down, I'm going to look at where people are located, along with weather in the areas. Then I want to see if I can find events in that area that we can plan around like the one in Florida in February. I really want to attend that one.

We've decided to pass 2014 for regional or national Meet & Greet events. It's summertime already and I dont' have the time to plan or attend anything. It's also half way through the year, so we want to give as much time as possible for people to get time off or handle whatever logistics they need to deal with.

Please keep in mind, this will be starting 2015. Please take into account your personal situation, kids in school, animals that need care, crop harvest times, etc.... It's not just about weather for some of us. One way or another, please think this over and make your voice heard. You can even post something to add a little more detail if you wish. Let us know what you're thinking.

We have every intention of growing these events as much as possible. We need them to have solid attendance and we need to make sure they're enjoyable in order to get folks interested in joining us. It's all about a good time and getting to know each other. Who knows... Maybe we'll even learn something while we're there!;)

I chose summer because usually it's the only time I can travel due to being on the west coast if the meet and greet was over the mountain passes I wouldn't be able to drive it and also winter rate on a plane ticket here are outrageous during the fall spring and winter months due to holiday seasons....:( but I would do my best to make it no matter the season!!!

From here, it looks like summer has the vote. That was my choice also.
I started a poll to tally our preferences for what area to meet which is located in this same topic heading. The purpose is to create a tool specifically for making it easier to map our preferences. I realize it would be difficult for staff members to take such a tally so this is hopefully a tool for them to use in placing regional meets close by to Your area. It appears to be rather slow in accumulating votes and there are only a few days left before it closes. If it doesn't show significantly more votes by then, I might start another thread and re-open it for a much longer duration.
The choice is Yours in marking an option but without enough marks it would be a useless tool. I tried to be as inclusive as I could but if You don't see Your area, Please kindly post a reply including Your preference and the sector map for our M&G's will reflect Your choice.

I voted fall but I might be moving in the future so I cant say where I will be in 2015, I can say as a military brat I hate to travel but one of these days you will probably be near enough to get to... my issue is mostly that when I have a job I am tied down and when I am out of job I am broke so... I am hoping for a new job in either Ohio or Virginia my current job is boring and they wont be a fit long term. they don't really need me I am under jobbed right now and have been for the last 6 months. as for camp grounds I like hikes but I am a fan of a nice bed so it would have to be somewhere with hotels and fall and winter are good off season times for cheap gatherings plus there are a lot of know how people in places like NC and Appalachia mountain fairs and reenactments of history... I love learning the new and old ways... what works is not always a new gadget.

i love N.C. Appallacias- especially in the Wintertime.
Rode my bike to Ashville 1 winter and worked there while camping out in the snow. People were very accommodating there.

Thank You so much for Your response. It's a pleasure to add Your area preference to the regional reference for M&G.

I'm late responding to everything on the forum as of the last couple weeks because this is a very busy time for me.I thank You for taking the effort to reply to this post.
Summer is also the best time for me, as my scheduled research is due to have a temporary lapse during that time, allowing me to travel, but I prefer N.W. meetings.
I'm considering starting another poll sometime before January, We'll see if it works out that way.

i haven't forgot the 2 campgrounds yet.its just that i either aint had time.or had the extra gas..but im planning on checking them out tomorrow..that is if my mom dont need me at the hospital...the one thats furthest from is the largest one of the 2..but yet a tornado went through there 3-5 years ago.and the last i heard.it aint fully opened up yet.so i'll take the time to find out every lil detail i can about it..

no place particular as of yet tracker...thats why i'll be looking into 2 campgrounds not to far from where i live, after we have some company today..and im hoping one or both campgrounds will be good for campouts during any campout..

The president stated that we are not one a real threat alert on the Ebola outbreak, but I belive it's going to spread like wildfire. I try to talk to others about this and they respond as though oh well what will be will be. It makes me so upset because it is killing people everyday. I don't want me or my family in harms way. I need a back up plan. Any ideas anyone?

i checked out one campground yesterday...and it has 4 or 5 camping sections..in which one section is divided into 2 sections.and those 2 sections have electric and water hook ups at each camp site..plus a tent/camper or rv can be set up at each campsite.. and all other camp site are for tents only..with no electric and a person has to walk a short distance to get water from a faucet..The facility is open year-round and includes a large campground, picnic areas, a reservable amphitheater, a swim area and many opportunities for outdoor recreation. Camping is available year-round.the pricing im not sure of..on account i didn't have anything to write on with me at the time..

I would need some advanced notice depending on where the one in the USA would be held, as I would probably have to bike it there, or heaven forbid, walk it, seeing as I don't have a car, or driver's license.
