Silent Earth
A True Doomsday Prepper
Be careful Jontte the masses have just enough brain cells to work out and remember that you have supplies and food stashed away.
After a SHTF event, there will be 3 kinds of people left in cities....
1) Those that hide well, horde supplies, and do small, quick raids on empty locations for supplies (very low percentage will be these folks, about 3 percent)
2) Those that band together in gangs to take from others (about 10 percent of the populace)
3) Those that are victimized by the gangs (the other 87 percent of those left)
The smart ones will have already been living outside the cities, or would have fled the cities in the first wave, after the SHTF. Those who had a place to go, will do ok, but those who didn't, are going to be fighting each other (and trying to attack those with supplies). It's these latter folks that I really plan for.
I think prepping is fun and I have been doing it the part 10 yrs, changing ideas often and finding out more about the moral decline in cities all over the world, so I finally decided to get away from Western Countries and big city's? Finally 5 yrs ago I decided to Bug Out and ended in SE Asia, on a 12 Ha mountain property on a tropical Island? we are 13km/8miles from the Pacific Ocean and 1500 Ft high, growing organic food and have small animals? We are thinking of starting a small Commune with people with different skills and hope to get some ideas how other preppers are doing, so if you want more info go to cavemanjoe65 at gmail dot com Good luck to all, Joe
Let me guess, you are selling 'cave homes' in se asia, philippines specifically? You a realtor Joe? seems like I seen your ad before sometime last week
No Maverick, just a private person offering to start a commune so we have people with different skills, Our property is to big for me to manage by myself, also getting to old for all the physical work, lucky my wife and daughters help?
Northern Raider,
you write down wise words, that about food applys to the city dwellers here also...atleast there I think I'm ahead of 99% of my surrounding..only problem here is centralheating..once it's gone,it's gone, these modern houses don't have any back-up heating system any more, which leads me to get a kerosene heater for emergency, one warm room will do for me.
I've tried to convice my oldest son to keep "emergency food" at home..just the way I do,like he suggested to me years ago,now it's my turn
Eh ?? an oil powered backup heater in a country surrounded by trees? why not get a Frontier stove kit ?
