if shit hits the fan i can imagine alot of english people running to the saftey of wales, especially from the surrounding tows such as Birmingham and liverpool? welsh peppers may want to take this into consideration.

Most of the English preppers I know who intend to move to Wales have already bugged in, more and more of the UK prepper community see the futility and difficulty in bugging out in such a crowded island and are moving to their BOLs permenantly. For example there is a healthy bunch of preppers inland from Aberyswith and more over toward Ludlow on the border, some around Milford Have and a few near on on Anglesey. I think that overall most folks who try to bug out with a family in tow AFTER TSHTf are screwed.

My son is hoping to buy a property in mid Wales in a year or two, so I shall be moving back to Wales and I can't wait

Is it the low population density that makes Wales "safe" or something else? Unless Wales has a impenetrable border, I don't see how they are going to hold back the hordes. I think Wales will be overrun in short order.

Scotland, on the other hand, can just repair Hadrian's Wall :D

Hadrians wall in very much well inside England, you may be thinking of the Antonine wall

Yes, of course... And Antonine Wall is in a more practical place since it's narrower there. Just a bit of ironic humor since the Romans built Hadrian's Wall to keep the barbarians from coming South instead of the other way around.

From what little I know about Antonine Wall, it seems like it was more of a berm than a wall.

IIRC it was a bit of both, Wall , berm, ditch and natural escarpments. Also depends on where one thinks the border SHOULD be :) , EG I'm a Northerner and this used to be part of the Ancient Kingdom of Northumbria ran by the Prince Bishops in Durham. Northumbria ran from the Humber Estuary in the south to NORTH of where Edinburgh is today. !!!! thus putting the Scots capital of today firmly in English territory. Nasty beggars the soldiers and warriors of yore from up here, not only did we snaffle where Edinburgh is, but a thousand years later the old regiments of Light Inf from this area shot up your White House, read the Prezs mail and ate dinner at his table, I think it got into our blood cos we are generally a mix of Angles, Jutes, a few Celts, Saxons, assorted Norse and a drop of Romans !!!! :) :) half the time we think we should be at war with ourselves :)
