Yes they CAN arrest and convict you for possession of the components of a bomb, even if they were all legally obtained.

What farm DOESN'T have all of these things? See my point? Don't talk about it. Just good sense.
Just mowing the pasture I'd have all of these (bottle for a cold drink, rag for wiping sweat out of my eyes, and a gas can for the tractor).

Yep, in that case it was his mouth that got him convicted. His lawyer tried to argue that they couldn't use his statements to prove intent because that would be a violation of the 5th Amendment. Didn't fly.

your so naive you think a superior force with no supplies would hesitate to steal what you got take your life and rape your wife and children and possibly consume all three of you preppers like you will be the first to lose all that is dear inevitably your life if you dont soon wise up theft is bad as it is just think how bad it will get when times get worse

Wow buddy you sure have a way with words...take a chill pill. If you keep up with these comments your about to alienate a large standing community that is here to prep and learn. Certainly, he knows...he's not here to insight anyone, if you read his past posts, he's got some great info. You've done a pretty good to job of trashing Trapper and Realisticdude. two very long-time members, who is next?

And on the same note. You shouldn't be trying to cram your opinion down other folk's throat just because you feel strongly about something. Personally, I am less likely to listen to another persons words when they are more or less yelling at me or grabbing my hair and trying to shove it in their own belief system. You should have approached that a lot nicer.
Everyone has their own views and we need to respect that. Yet, at the same time explain our differences calmly and politely. Otherwise, folks are more likely to become alienated and ignore you.

The gangs or bands lose thier desire to hit hard targets real fast and leave a trail of thier comrads behind . When you start knocking them down further than they can see and if they dare come closer and take some heavy casualties few are left to escape . Having a base to operate out of and good decision making gives the well prepped bugged in quite a eadge over a group scavenging from the country side for each meal while the clothes rot from thier backs . One should prep to be self suficient and able to live from thier homestead be it a apartment in a built up area Cabin in the moutains , farm or ranch . A plan that includes making others victims is a plan to fail and may get your remains hung from a tree as a warning to others that entertain such ideas .

I can see now that this statement is too blunt, could have been stated differently and is in no way a threat.

You try to prevent a fight in your front yard by parimiter security . If not then you fight in your front yard you should have the advantage there . But remember the multi layer security .

It was the way it was worded. That's all. There are folks here who agree with you, you can be sure of that. Thanks for understanding that posts can seem harsh if their tone is such.

Also, the cannibalism bit is a bit off-putting(Not that I'm asking you to censor it). That's a personal issue I have, but it's only because I find it appalling. It's something that perhaps I don't want to consider, though I do understand that if things are bad enough, there are folks who will resort to such things. Those who don't know what to eat or how to harvest and forage will almost assuredly attack other humans like that. Personally I can't imagine resorting to such measures, but that's one reason why I prefer to prep. I can find edibles provided by Mother Nature instead of gnawing on my neighbor's stinking feet.

Yep. Personally, I like fences to break it up too. But yeah, it starts with limiting access to the local roads, etc.

Fences are nice. But you need some of these:

Around the house -


On top of your house or new bug out location - (the turret is hidden by the dome which is now open)


And finally a mobile turret to. Which plays as your perimeter security sweep - (Replace the paintball gun with a real weapon).

As for the gun turrets, sure, if money were no object....lol.
Reality limits available options somewhat though, so sticking with the plan of first cutting off road access, then fortifying the perimeter and trying to make as many layers of obstacles as we can, finally having to cross an open field of fire where we are firing from fortified positions, and they are in the open.

A really mean idea: Give them things that LOOK like cover, but really aren't (and that are traps). No better way to get your targets to just walk right into your traps (if it LOOKS like a good idea).

we should propably dig up old trap handbooks of vietcong,native americans and others..I thought the other day that my bottles of glass should go to the recyclebin,but I can use them for makeing cocktails..
