I hear things like this all the time.

I shop on Amazon a lot. No lines, no psychos whacking off in public, and I get better customer service.

Online shopping and having the merchandise shipped right to your door is the way to go...saves time, fuel, and the miles of walking around the store!

I try to buy local when I can, but for some reason local people don't seem to buy the same things I do, consequently nobody has the things I need.
I agree that I like to support the local economy too but like you said with limited selection and the ability to compare pricing on line I think I use online more now. There will always be things like bulky construction items and such that you buy local but amazon has truly changed the world.
We went from paying 30.00 for a light bulb locally to about 8.00 for it online. Now we rarely use those metal halide or high pressure sodium bulbs and 95% is LED. These changes were all within about three years. Things are rapidly evolving up being online helps to keep up with it.

Yeah, apparently my post is the guilty one...seems to have changed directions after that!! Didn't intend for that to happen! Sorry about that.

Lol, sometimes these threads get more interesting when they change direction a couple times! I’ve never been to uptight about not coloring inside the lines.

I would rather be on my own. Law enforcement has nothing to offer me. To many asshole in law enforcement.
I know people who think police are the "good guys" fighting against criminals who are "bad guys." I try to explain to them that cops are people just like anyone else, and according to my own personal theory, about at 3rd of people are "good" or are generally concerned with other's interests as well as their own, 1/3 are "bad" or exhibit characteristics that make them dangerous who do not deserve to be harmed, and 1/3 can go either way, depending on the influences around them. (I may be completely off on the percentages but this pretty much sums up the types of people as I have observed them.)

All the LEO's I know are good guys, My son is a Sheriff Deputy, My Son-Law is an ICE Agent, my nephew is an FBI agent and I'm retired Forest Service LI then Federal Game Warden both of which are 1811 GS-11. The only ones I know that are bad I read about or see in the news so I don't doubt their are a lot of them in this Country, I'm just saying I don't know any.

Likely pretty accurate guesstimate....from my own observations over the years, I'd say you're pretty much on target. Doesn't appear to me to be many "good guys" left in reality. I can do without them.....rural area out in the boonies, and I have plenty of firepower.

I agree that you can’t just include everyone in a whole group of people and classify them. I have met a few good cops, and bad. It does seem to attract a certain macho type of personality though. I will say this though, these guys are on call 24/7 and knowingly put their lives on the line to help keep our society together. They go into places most sane people avoid and aren’t paid nearly enough for their personal risk on a daily basis. So for the good, and even the bad, I appreciate what they do overall for us.
