I just found the thread under marketplace. I agree if you live in a city that this info could be worth having. I liked gazrocks idea of driving as fast as possible away from where a burst would likely hit. The reality in a large city though is with traffic you would not have a chance to drive with the congestion. Holding up in a shelter would be your best option.

I agree... It would be best to build your/our own! I used to check on "Off the Grid" realestate listing on James Wesley Rawles website... They had a Radar Station listed for sale in South GA.... it had an underground bunker that was down about 50'. It was pretty cool.. but the price was in the 7-digits!

I posted a thread about a concrete root cellar I built here. I guess it could be used as a shelter but the thought of being intombed in a mausoleum doesn’t appeal to me. Luckily I’m out far enough out in the country that there are no real targets near me here.

I agree totally.. I always thought... if I was down there.. with all my supplies and the world collapses on top of me.. Sure i can eat and drink for a few months/years but how am i going to get out... I would have to have a hydraulic jack and some picks and just hope that it would work to get out of a pile of rubble.

Well laid out website. I wish I knew IT good enough to make things like that! My son made a website for our electrical business that is very professional and makes our 5 man company look huge. We even had an insurance company drop us because we looked too big!
